How to write a Magazine
To
establish a magazine takes more than a good idea. You need financial discipline,
a business head, passion and an idea. I the beginning the idea doesn't
even have to be good. If you do your research well you can change it slightly
to better suit a market. There are many reasons people start their own
magazines including:
wanting to control the content
to present a topic that is not already covered
to convey a particular point of view or ideology
to showcase your own talents and the talents of other like minded people
to provide information for a community group.
There are a number of problems you can run into when starting a magazine,
and many of these have brought down many publications that really could
have taken off. However most of these issues could have been avoided if
proper planning had been undertaken from the beginning. If you are consider
starting your own magazine then get the right advise from the outset.
